Step 1: Sign in to your Ancestry Account. The Sign In button is in the top right hand corner.
Step 2: Select the DNA tab from the menu bar across the top of the page.
Step 3: Select "Your DNA Results Summary" from the DNA drop down menu.
Step 4: Click on Settings (right side, towards top).
Step 5: In the "Actions" panel on the right side, click on the "Download Raw DNA Data" button.
Step 6: In the box that pops up, enter your password, review the details on security and check the box, and click "Confirm".
Step 7: You will receive an email within 24 hours, to the email address linked to your Ancestry account. This email will expire after 24 hours. When you receive the email, open it and click "Confirm Data Download".
Step 8: The link from the email will bring you back to the Download DNA Raw Data page on Ancestry.com. (You may or may not be prompted to log back in to your account.). Click on "Download DNA Raw Data".
Step 9: Once you click on "Download DNA Raw Data" your file will start to download to your computer immediately. It will be a .txt file. You can find it in your "Downloads" folder.
