Yes, shares in LunaDNA are based on a member’s willingness to consent to have their data used for research, a prerequisite to becoming a LunaDNA member, and the type and amount of health and DNA data shared. Because you own and control your data, we have ensured that, at any time, you can remove your consent or remove some or all of your data. These actions will have repercussions on your ownership in LunaDNA and thus your ownership of LunaDNA shares:
- If you remove consent, your data will be deleted from the platform and therefore not shareable for research. LunaDNA will recover all of your LunaDNA shares and you will no longer be able to earn future dividends.
- If you remove some of your data, LunaDNA will calculate the number of shares you were granted based on those contributions and LunaDNA will recover the calculated amount of shares, and your associated potential for earning dividends will decline appropriately.
- If you remove all of your data, LunaDNA will recover all of your LunaDNA shares and you will no longer be able to earn future dividends unless you decide to contribute data again.
